Fuck me, I’ve got a win on the board!
Howard is a WHW local (it’s his nearest store) so plays quite a lot but, to be fair, he didn’t read the pack (despite being shit I do do all of that basic stuff) and so he didn’t realise that the objectives scaled every turn. He left a land speeder (everything scores) on an objective for three turns (scoring max points) while he shot at stuff no where near an objective. He fell into my only trap really – he was scared of my Noise Marines and kept firing everything at them while they were actually just sitting at the back of the board holding their (or maybe each other’s – this is EC after all) dicks.
Howard’s Raven Guard list was also pretty stationary and infantry focused (there was a javelin but the rest was infantry and quad mortars). I’m sure, if his life depended on it, Howard would have given me a really close game but ultimately it was a win for reading the pack!
