So game 3 was the first of the 1K ‘scout force,’ games. These were short with a very quick turnaround in between. I’d never played at a points level this low so I wasn’t sure what to expect. As it turned out they were a good thing – quick, direct and good fun. With one exception that I’ll come to later. My lists are here.
This wasn’t the exception though. I was playing Pete from Edinburgh with a beautiful White Scars army (he got a nom for best army and, in my view, should have won it).
In terms of the game, another narrow loss. Another game where range and speed got the better of me. It was an objective game and I was up early but got tabled and that left Pete to mop up all the objectives. Again, I didn’t get listed out. I just got beaten by a better player. This was turning into a theme. At least this pummeling was capped at an hour!
